Installing Windows Vista Service Pack 1



I am finally going to install Vista Service Pack 1 on my laptop. I am already scared as the documentation says:

The 32-bit SP1 requires a minimum of 7 gigabytes (GB) of free space; the 64-bit SP1 requires a minimum of 13 GB of free space.

Windows Vista Service Pack 1

Seems to have worked. Took around 40-45 minutes from the time I started it… On a core2duo machine with 4GB RAM!

Installing Windows Vista Service Pack 1

Cannot find anything different or new visually. That was expected but still very disappointing.

Alrighty. Copying from the local network is definitely MUCH faster in Vista Service Pack 1… One major hassle fixed finally.
