Not Fair Apple!
Apple Safari is a pretty decent browser. I find it more usable than the Internet Explorer. Except for of course the stupid shortcuts that Apple forces on us through it.
However, not many people know about this browser. A lot of people however do know about Apple and Apple iTunes.
Some other people keep a copy of Apple QuickTime installed on their machines.
But still. Few people would have a copy of Apple Safari installed on their machines.
So what does Apple do to get Safari on your machine? They deliver it through Apple Software Update utility. Which you get alongside their QuickTime and iTunes applications.
So, even if you have not installed Safari but are using QuickTime or iTunes, Apple Software Update utility would tell you about Safari and get you to install it on your machine.
Very Microsoftish Behavior from Apple’s part. This is not how you enhance your market share… This is how Microsoft did it!
