Testing WordPress 2.5

Surprisingly nothing broke. At least I cannot find anything that is broken with this update. I do not like the new editor (I have said it before). And I cannot find the Post Slug option in the editor. Looks like I have to get my eyes checked after all…

Update: WordPress now has the capability to automatically download and install the latest version of the plug-ins you are using. It worked fine for me (you have to enter the FTP details). Not sure how it would manage plug-ins which are stored outside their own folders…

Ok, just got the confirmation on the WordPress IRC channel that the Post Slug feature is hidden in the writer for some reason. Maybe they are overhauling it with some kind of special functionality which is not done yet.

Update 2: Weird… I can edit the post slug after posting. It shows me an option. But not while writing a new post. This is strange.

Update 3: Just realized that WordPress 2.5 would give you post slug option on new post page if you wait for long enough to let it save a draft copy automatically. Duh.
