I have a Yamaha - Rajdoot RD 350 with a LT STD barrel with Stock Micuni Carbs either sides. Now i have a spare 'Made in Japan' HT barrel ( i guess it must produce about 40Bhp).
NOW MY QUESTION IS ... IF I GET HAVE TO GET MY BIKE ON THIS HT Made in Japan BARREL... WHAT ALL SHOULD I CHANGE AND LOOK INTO?

hey rd lovers!!!glad to find some true bikers...take pride in what u guys r riding as itz a legend...u guys r trully the lucky ones....rd is my dream bike..wud like to share a real story that happnd.we have a local guy here..he is around 35yrs and has 4 rd's which he loves so much he dsn't even let anybdy touch it.whn pulser 180 was launced, a ****** foolish guy decided to race the rd bro who was putterng along in around 30kmph.the rd guy thnks like what the f**k is he tryng to do??well ltz shw iz the BOSS!!!the pulsar meanwhile is howling on in itz max..the engine is cryng out...the rd guy catches the 180 and asks him ..hey fool..i have still got 2 more gears to down!!what do u say?!!!!the poor pulsar guy is left behind eating the rd's dust!!this is a very valuable lesson to all those "pulsar maniacs" who thinks they r riding the ultimate machine...but hello..ride it and go ya way..don't mess with the BEAST!!!!!rd rules!!

hey i was 16 when i got my first rd 350 HT.i ported it to 40 horse power from 32.put 2 performance chromed chambers. dual k and n performance filters. a back disc and a hid head light. i had pirelli sports demon wheels...i did 180 on it. i spent 1.5 on it and sold it after a year for 1.10 lakhs. it was the best bike and the only bike in bangalore with a back disc. my advice if ur doing up a rd is..don do it up..let it be stock..don spoil the beast...max u do is pu pirelle tyres (sports demon) which cost 6k and k and n extreme filters and a hid...and use imported liquid cooled exhausts.AND DO NOT put a back disc..ull have problems with the oil flow in the disc and a drum is way better...my contact no is 9986675579.contact me if needed..now i am 18 and i have 3 rd 350s.which im selling...let me know..alll are ht...and perfect papers.

I got my RD restored by Chotu he is a great friend of mine and a genuine person who ruled the national racing during the 90's. It took almost a year to completely restore my RD and without chotu in would have been very difficult in not impossible. Together with chotu and couple of good friends we have started a RD club known as "White Smoke Riders Motorcycle Club". The club is not even a month old and we are already a group of more than 20 riders. We had our first ride on 29th June 2008 from Chotu's workshop to Gurmukh's (Famous vintage car & Bike restrorer and also the owner of "History on Wheels Club") at Faridabad and it was an experience one cannot forget...the growl, the smoke, the road and company of a like minded riders. more details will be published soon on our website "www.whitesmokeriders.org" soon as the website is under construction. We will be hitting the road for rides/events(short and long) frequently as there is only one place where the RD belongs n that's on the road.

I used to own one. Hell of a bike, gave me some scary but awsome rides on my few and far beetween highway adventures. Life was a like a sew saw when I owned this beauty. Had to give it up to a cruel karol bagh dealer after a really bad crash I had on it 3.5 yrs back. But still I love this bike more than anything in this world.

His workshop was on church street( I dont remembr the name of the street well)>> When you some down from Brigades towards residency-hosur road you turn left just oppossite to St Patricks Church, Ashok Nagar. Or ask for Sardar when youy reach Ashok Nagar. He is a certified RD mechanic and he uesed to workf or Farid MOtors i guess. Last time i met him was 1999.
Guys I can vouch for one thing, he was very very honest and he knew in and out of RD.

Anm writing after quite a while.This is turning into quite a RD blog,wish more people would write in.I am into my 3rd RD and am nudging the wrong side of 30.Am just having my Rd done up.Any body advise me what would be the best set up for new forks as i want to put in discs.moreover seals an things for the original forks are scarce.I used my RD mostly in Darjeeling.It was glorious revving up hills with the intake growl.
