Dell Support in India: Impressive!
Ok. I am not sure if it would work for me or not. But the support call was prompt and very friendly. I could have talked to them for hours without getting annoyed. I am impressed… On Site Warranty means that the person would come at my place to fix the machine. Awesome stuff!

u r the lucky one, i bought xps m1330 and its like i was cheated i always had the great regards for dell thats why i choose to buy this one from india but its like waiting for hours on phone for ppl to talk and i am not com savy so i trapped because they say we dont have technical for this model in india and they dont answer me then how i can make my lap top work again.
from day one its hang on own once i called then and they made me reformat t whole thing but after that my bluetooth stoped working now when i tried to copy dvd its say the software is not there only and i paid for dvd player as well as for dvd writer for that they had send me the backup dvd also

I think Dell Support is not as efficient as for major problems with laptops. With high regards, as Rajiv, even I purchased a Dell 1420 laptop and have had major problems with almost all the parts of the laptop – my LCD, motherboard, heatsink and keyboard have all been replaced three times. This has created a lot of problems for me. I’ve spent over 40 hours of my valuable time attending to their slow and inefficient engineers (their vendor company provides the engineering support – in Mumbai it is Unisys). The engineer was highly incompetent and did not know about a couple of spare-parts which is pathetic! Upon repeated complaints that fellow was also fired by Unisys and Unisys was warned by Dell about having appointed such personnel. Regardless of this, my issue was still not solved and the senior engineer took over 10 hours to get it fixed. You won’t believe this: Over Rs.1,00,000 worth of parts were replaced for my laptop which I purchased for Rs.65,000 (and that was 8 months back) and Dell wouldn’t replace my laptop but harass me with their incompetent support executives wasting time at my home and not getting the problem fixed, day-after-day.
Sending an engineer on site is one thing and getting the problem fixed is an entirely different thing!
I’m so unsatisfied with my Dell laptop that I would not recommend that anyone buy it. Support might me good but what’s the point if it’s required every now and then because of low-quality spare-parts. To me it seems that the only reason why they are popular is because they give a lot of after-sales service but unfortunately a laptop purchaser disregards (like I did) the question why is after-sales so popular with Dell? From my experience, I would surely say that it’s because their laptop build quality is very low with bad quality spareparts.

I have all the agreements with Dell to fix my business laptop asap. It’s been 30 days no one has made it here. Dell USA was known for it’s good service. Dell India has got the worst service of any provider.

Been on phone for over 2 hours just to get into the correct department for XPS series laptop lol they keep tossing me around all over the world with each agent promising that they sending me to the correct department.

I am Dell Fan.
But this time i would say their product build quality in India is worst. i have done 1 desktop 1 laptop and 2 monitor replaced. and now 1 more laptop is faulty it’s XPS M1330. i would say they need to improve Indian manufacturing plant. Worst Quality.
I think, Dell has changed. It's service standards have taken a huge beating in the past 2-3 years. About 3 years back, I was amazed at the services offered by Dell in replacing a faulty part within warranty. It was something, unheard and unseen of in India.
But my recent experiences have been simply pathetic. I paid for replacing a part for my laptop which was out of warranty. My life became hell. I ended up paying double and then I had to fight till the director level to have the correct part replaced. Now again, regarding some technical help, I have wasted 16 minutes and 43 seconds on the telephone and have disconnected after being fed up. Nice way of Dell to cut down on their incoming traffic……
next time my laptop has an issue will you call for me….. 30 hours on hold, 6 long chat sessions, CHAT DROPPED ME BEFORE QUESTIONS WERE ANSWERED 4 OF 6 TIMES AND I HAD TO START ALL OVER AGAIN. 7 days and counting and I still do not have a functioning laptop. Parts sent to vendor 1, dispatch sent to vendor 2 and I was told to call vendor 3 when no one called me to schedule appointment and vendor 3 was clueless. I have Complete Care Warranty with Next Business Day Service (NOT)

Dell support is rubbish in India. I placed an order for the Studio 15 and paid for it as they confirmed that they could get the same delivered in 10 days. Then they told me ot wasnt possible i had to purchase a Sony laptop.
These guys didnt refund the amount i had paid by my credit card for a period of 20 days……. n im still in the process of getting my money back. I must have called them up 80 times and wasted 20 hours and sent them a minimum of 9 emails, but the issue is still pending.
I think the worst part of the forum is that there 95% negative responses but the article is still praising Dell's efficiency….. must be a fluke man …. n guys pay attention to the comments, this is the reality. Just be careful before purchasing a Dell.

My laptop’s screen got a crack and they refused to repair and even with a appropriate charges paid to them
