OK. Now it is confirmed. Airtel is indeed offering 512 kbps UL in Rs. 1300. You just need to have the 256 kbps UL package and then get the 300 rupees topup. This would boost your speeds to 512 kbps and you would save Rs. 200 from the regular 512 kbps UL plan.
The Airtel dude told me that the scheme is valid till Feb 20 I think.
