Microsoft, Yahoo and Google!



The latest news in the market is that Microsoft is now bidding to acquire Yahoo! It was fun to see how Adobe swallowed Macromedia few years back. This one is bigger than that. Huge in fact!

The only thing I am scared of is Flickr. I would hate to see it migrating to .net ;)

    umm they wont coz google is practically the monopoly in the search engine market.

    micrsoft+yahoo would mean that ask would get a better chance to compete against 2 instead of three rivals.

    Y! owns delicious, zimbra, flickr all the good things :-(
    Y! used uber technologies, now I think they will be forced to migrate their webtier to IIS+ win2k3 + MSSQL /all their unixy goodness will be lost :-(

    I dont know where are *synergies* in this deal?
