Net4India is resembling Sify Broadband
Today I went again to the Net4India office for some business work. And trust me, it resembled quite similar to what I noticed last year in the Sify Broadband office. Three customers already sitting there ready with their complaints quite similar to mine. Everyone has similar experience to what I have. Problems with registering domain… Problems in NameServer changing and best… No response from the customer care.
Worst part? The marketing guy accepted that their technical support team is quite crappy. He gave me mail ids of senior guys in the company to escalate my complaints if the queries are not resolved in 6 hours flat.
Interestingly, the mail he sent to my mail id in front of me never reached my mail id… looks like today is a day I had rather forget.
Oh… I forgot to mention the good part. I went to Malai Mandir and it was an awesome experience. Dunno why, but I think God has a soft corner for me and I really appreciate that.

You need to host domains with some company abroad. I think assistance is very rarely required, so doesn’t make much of a difference.
Try it once… Godaddy.com is good

I used http://www.directi.com to register domians. hassle free transaction. might cost u a *bit* more.. may be around +Rs 100, but.. no headache later on…

Well to common folks the problem is a larger issue. as long as the last mile is controlled by a few telcos the common folk will get screwed on broadband.
at least a few guys like n4i and sify are trying to create an alternative to telco (read BSNL) offering.
If it hadn’t been for them BSNL would still have been sleeping and you would have been on stupid dialup for the rest of your life.
U need a strong regulator to give all the players a level field. But thats not to take the blame from the service providers for some of the shitty things they do!

I am my self a domain registration service provider, We keep all control panel online and every customer gets their control panel.
If I would have been in banglore, I would have register a domain with space2let and net4domain each and intentionally crated a dispute and filially a FIR COMPLAINT AGAINS THEM.

Hi, guys had bought a domain reseller package ( directi )
from space2let a few months back and ever since December 05
my domains have been locked by Space2let , reason given is ‘Protect’.
Now I cannot change the server names and all the domains
i registered with them are practically useless now. Space2let
does not acknowledge my mails and calls made to them are replied
by ‘we will look into it ‘ and ‘we got to check the records’.
Truly space2let ( now called Internet World Wide ) suck !!!!!!
Beware before dealing with them.
If anyone of you has a solution for my prob please reply. Thanks email : reliablegoa@yahoo.com

My id is “tarangoyal”. I have opted for an unlimited pack but sify has renewed with a 400 MB pack. I have called sify care to correct this error. Even after 5 days, they do nothing except saying ‘we are changing your broadband scheme, it will take an hour, till then u can use the 400 mb pack and no charges will be deducted for that’. Even in my area , there is so much disconnection of internet. everytime the sify broadband client shows a gateway error. If my account is not changed for a 64 kpbs in the next two days, i will be disconnecting sify and taking airtel instead.

i am agree with others that net4india there hve a problem in customer care ,, i went there just for query for software hosting thats for i was asking there have any obgection or not or they atlast will denay for that perticular software or not,,the calls was forwarded to technical department from marketing department,,,i got strange ans,,first they ask me for wich pakage of hosting i want to take i told ,,home pakage,,,he suddenly maid a rude comment that ,,,” you have to pay for extra bandwith , its not u just pay for 2gm and u will use 5gb,,,its not possible,,
i just told him,,,i have money and i will pay for that..
but i was thinking that was not his busienss to make this comment…coz whatever i will buy thats on my interst,,question was,,that software will install or not…but he told me..first buy hosting pakage after dat u will do everything..(.nonsense..).that was a chat software,,,
i just get out and i never gone their…go daddy is there for domain…and thousand companies are fr hosting..

Net4India has tried to use their own hoemgrown Control Panel for email, domain and hosting management. The software is extremely buggy and highly unrelaible. Add to this their manual process of providing tech suport. They do not have a helpdesk or something like that.

I think .. NET4INDIA is not an IT Solution company but a IT Problem company. They dont have any knowledgeable person in the support department. Before that, your call is transfered from department to department and finally solution is given as “Create your trouble ticket and then call us with the trouvble ticket number”.
We are feeling sorry that we took domains hosting from them !!!!!!

Guys , I think I have made a mistake of my life by taking a hosting package from Net4. Those Net4 guys are really funny. If you call there and if you have luck then only your call will be answered. Not just that … if you have stronger luck then you will be transfered where someone will pick up the call. If you want to check your patience then call Net4 ….Hahahaha.
Then you will come acrosss one arrogant customer support officer. Few minutes he will listen to you then either he will give you some commitment (which will never be kept) or simply keep the phone. Sounds funny? Yes… anything is possible with Net4.
God knows who is the programmer for their site. The guy really need some basic training of site development. Nothing really works on the site. You cant even change your password. Hahahaaa.
Only god can help them.

But after that I realized that I have to buy email service, sub domain service and database service separately. Which comes down to three times compared to any scheme in the market. Now I am in the process of transferring, that is also becoming a big trouble.
They have terrible customer service… No buddy picks up the phone for hours…
Advise to all out there….. Please dont ever do business with Net4India.
