Good afternoon!

I have Dell Inspiron 1501 laptop. A week ago I reinstalled my Windows XP Home Edition SP2 from CD and many drivers and utilities. I downloaded the latest version of Dell Support Center from http://support.dell.com/.

The trouble is I can't install it. Every time when I try to launch it by double-clicking its icon I have no result! Nothing, no window or message!
However I installed this utility on not a Dell system to check it works. And it really works there but I want it to work on my Dell Inspiron 1501!

Please help me. Thanks anyway.

Each time I receive the pop up window "To Install Dell Support Center 2.0" and subsequently open my PC load it I receive a message from Symantec that states "malicious script detected" and recommends shutting down. I then have to perform a system restore to rid 2.0. I tried disabling Symantec, reloading 2.0 and the same thing has occurred. Tried India and the woman there got my PC so screwed up I again had to perform a system restore and now just hit the "remind be later" pop up for 2.0. anyone had any similar problems and any solutions?
