My experience of using VSNL:[Anaronline]
I’m using VSNL[a.k.a Anaronline] since 2+ years. but in last year i havesuffered a lot.
when there is raining my net wont connect.And answer form their custemorcare everytime due to rain there is problem so engineer will fix tomorrow.
Can u imagine?
My net was down for more then 4months in 1 year connection.[Not constantly more then 4 months but overall..may be more than 5 too]
And after raining season also one month constant problem of net during nighthours and answer from them that power problem and it’ll be solved tomorrow and same problem every night that month
And i had combopackage.[64KBPS DAY TIME-256KBPS nighttime]
Then if problem in net during nighthours what’s benifit of Combopackage?
Moreover, for 1-2months there was problem in speed also…even during nighthours i was getting speed of 64KBPS only [acc to package i shd get 256KBPS] and they answered problem directly form mumbai and will be solved in 3-4days and it take 1-2months to get 256KBPS again during nighthours.
And unfortunatly mit was last month of my connection.[I consider fortunately as time and stress form checking if net is on or checking speed is ok or calling to cc]
and mostly i had problem in connection after 9-10pm and i call to custemorcare they tell engineer will come tomorrow…[so no benifit of night 256KBPS]
And i usually use net at nighthours..
so i have to suffer a lot.
have to waste so much time and money in calling to their customercare and checking if net is ok.[as if i check after 7pm and net is down then i have to wait for 1 day to make it on..dam it]
Lastly this is lastmonth on my VSNL connection..
after my lots of complains they extended my account only 4 1 month [connection was down for more then 4-5month] and also i have to waste lot of itme in solving problems and stress unnecessarily.
So finally i’ll go for BSNL broadband fomr nextmonth.
Hope it’ll not let me down.

after thats my complaints automatically get resolved in customer care ( FOR FAKE SLA sake )
i get new complaint id every time i called
service would start and then again stop working after few days
then one fine day service went down and did not work for 6 days and thats when i canceled the service and took airtel
i miss the tata connection , they charged more but there speed was amazing ( till it started giving problem )
but then airtel broadband is better in sense they have proper wireing and i never had a outage more than a yer with then now (apart form faulty handset they provided with the connection and refuse to replace )

great sushubh..i loved the video and am glad he is a member on ur forum..its sad that it like looting money like robbers do and we are still helpless,i would regret if tata indicom did not take action after this video.Freaking..one of ur best posts i say..i really feel like being dawood ibrahim and killing all guys…their offices should be smashed,they should be hunged,servers shoud be crashed, and refund 10 times should be given…this makes me hot tempered

This is Arnab - am a UNIX admin in an MNC in Bangalore. After my marriage (6 months back)i had to shift to a bigger house and unfortunately after i settled down i found NO other connection other than TATA (just a side note - that is exactly what TATA targets - providing connections at places where users dont have an alternative). I need to have Internet 24/7 for my work as i am oncalls sometime. I took the 2Mbps 5 GB limit - after 27 phone calls the cables were installed. I didnt know what i was stepping into. The person showed me the speed was more than 1.6 Mbps - wow i was so happy at that point of time
Next week the speed went down to 12kbps - that is in the month of June 07 and it has remained till 12kbps till the time the connection was active. I called the customer care 100+ times in a span of 3 months and NO response - everytime the CC people told me “they will get back to you within 1/2 hr”
I could still live with that as i could still get my work done. In the month of August from 8th till 14th, i started seeing huuuuge downloads on my account
I called the CC immediately and told them about it. As usual no actions had been taken - the logs showed i downloaded 2+ GB of data everyday - imagine - at a speed of 12kbps, when i was NOT at my home, TATA claims i download 2-3 GB data everyday? Also the downloads were at the time when i was not at home (i was in office) or after midnight. i thought the connection got hacked - but then the sales rep told me its bound to my MAC id. Also it was not a case of hacking becase with that speed it was not possible to download 2-4 GB within a span of 11 Hrs. They sent me a bill of 18500 and made my connection inactive.
In short:From 14th august till yesterday i have made 100+ calls and everyone told someone will come to your house and check it - the connection is still inactive, i have a pending bill of 18500, no one has got time to come to my house to check it for the last 62 days
On 3rd of October, 2007 - someone called me from TATA and said and i quote “i suggest you pay the bill or we will have to make you pay”
I called up the customer care again and went to the VSNL office travelling for 15 Kms and spoke to a lady who called the number back (from where the threatning call came) but the person acted as if he never even called me
Oct 23rd Oct, 2007 at around 4:00 went to TATA office in Jeevan Bhima nagar and spoke to a person there who said it has to be a backend problem and the TATA fellows started laughing listening to my bill amount (lol imagine)
Also i found that they automatically activated the connection and raised my bill to 19799. gosh!
On 23rd Oct 2007 i went to TATA office in Woods Street, Bangalore at 5:15 - but the office was empty - everyone already left for home (on a tuesday by 5 the manager left - no wonder their service is superb)
I called the Manager on 24th oct,2007 (today) and asked if he can check the server logs and let me know whats going on - he said he does not know all those things - all he knows is the bill came to 19799 and i have to pay that. Also he assured that he will take out that extra 1200 that they added “by mistake” (another false commitment)
We are forming a group against TATA and going to put them up in court for all this - please mail me if possible and lets start the revolution

I too am VSNL : Anaronline customer since last 1 year. Unfortunately, just renewed the connection on 25th Dec. ‘07. Line drop is very common and it does happen couple of times daily. I have learned to live with it.
My connection is down since 3rd Jan. ‘08 around 17.00 hrs. and yet not started after 96 hours on 7th Jan. ‘08 at 20.00 hrs. (ISP are suppose to provide 24 x 7 service)
After repeated calls to CC where I did not got anything else than lame excuses like “cable shortage” (such a huge company operating on such a broad base with such a huge # of customer in the city of Surat.), “Cable received were faulty”, “Its almost 19.00 hrs and Engineers have already left.”, “connection will be up by afternoon” if called in morning and “up by evening” if called in afternoon and “up by next morning” if called in evening. … If asked for, to talk with any higher authority, there were none present at 19.00 hrs. in office.
Overall customer is confined to only one Tel. # 6696100. No other alternative for customer and CC will give no other alternate contacts to you. They will promise to get a higher authority to call you… but to no avail.
Overall very RECKLESS and HORRIBLE customer service and I don’t have any other word than “BULL SHIT” for the “Customer Care Service” of Anaronline (VSNL), who have been taught to give “LAME EXCUSES POLITELY” and nothing concrete to the customer.
