WordPress 2.3 adds native Tag feature



Ok. I seem to like it. But I have a feeling that now that this feature is in-built, it would itself add more than a billion pages in Google Index!

God help our search engines. And God help us who suffer from content duplication problem!

    heh i saw that post. i also saw a massive discussion on the wordpress IRC channel where matt presented his own point of views.

    technically if you are using akismet you are already pinging them thousands of times a day.

    wordpress also used to host the logo image (in the backend) on their own servers till few years back.

    it’s something i am not very worried about. they provide you a feature which you can disable.

    i am keeping it on as it helps me stay up to date with my plugins.
