Café Turtle in Sushant Lok Gurgaon
So, this place was somewhat recommended by several people who had read about it in newspapers and magazines. We decided to go to this place and see what it was all about.
It took us a while to find this place out. In the process we managed to find out a shady looking Nike sale. Bought some footwear and am cursing myself for it now.
Anyhow… About the place…
The place sucks. Totally disappointing. Rates are comparable to prices I have seen in 3-4 star hotels in Gurgaon. We tried two flavors of iced tea… The thing we were served looked like they came from some roadside lemonade stall. I have some pictures below.
Café Turtle… It is just about as big as a regular room. Has seating capacity for around 10 people. But I am sure if 10 people arrived at that place, it would become a super duper mess. No one was at this place at a rather comfortable time of 5 PM.
People catering to use looked sad and frustrated. I forgot to talk about the Iced Tea itself… Lemon flavored one tasted like Ginger ale. My Peach Iced Tea was somewhat better but definitely not worth 80 bucks.
I think I am done talking about the place. I am not going to visit this place and would not recommend it to anyone. Here are the photos taken from a mobile camera…
Here is the website of Cafe Turtle…

Rs. 165 for a small bite which is just some toasted goat food!? I’m giving up s/w development and starting a gourmet? restaurant.

Yes, first floor, towards the back, in the big building. You’ll probably need to ask when you reach there. It’s just a small shop with seating of max 10 people upstairs. Serves great goan food.

U r so right abt Cafe Turtle. They serve at turtle speed and charge according to turtle’s weight.
Yes, Pun is right abt Bernado’s, its a good place. Must go, if you can handle spicy Goan food.
