Swift is a Very Sexy car , no need to modify majorly. just that it need to upgrade the tail lights to Clear tail lights n minor changes, thats it am waiting for that-swift 2nd version or may be Swift Sports…………

i think they should not replace this kind of shit with ESTEEM.
they should have looked upon modified version of ESTEEM rather than SWIFT.

The Swift Sedan looks very similar to Toyota Yaris (which incidentally has been voted Car of the Year in 2007 in US) - it is very economical to drive, comes fitted with 6 air bags, ABS, EBD and whole host of safety features. It doesnt look too bad as well.

Hope Maruti doesnt make this mistake of adding a boot to a hatchback. It certainly looks ugly on the pictures shown atleast. And it is going to chage the driving dynamics badly as well of its excellent handling hatchback sister.
Maruti should learn from the lack of success of the Esteem in India which is a boot added to the European version of the same car. Underpowered and useless, hope they dont create another one like that.
Instead maruti should design a car from scratch for the Indian customer and it will succeed like the Swift. Remember Maruti, there are a few million people in India who want the car, so it wont be too expensive to build one!

Great job u suzuki guys , this was the only thing which was left to be done with a swift, pimping it to a sedan by giving a ugly ass like look. DZire is not so desirous. The boot doesnt look appealing. Looks like some budding graphic designer took the image of swift and did some cheap graphic work on it.
I dont think Suzuki is valuing Indian customers. They think that we Indian customer will buy anything that is dumped on us. Suzuki product is known for its poor quality, i wish atleast this car met some basic quality requirements.
I think DZire will not make through. I cant say that either, because if cheap Tata products are doing so well.. why not DZire?

The car isn’t a stunner lookswise, but its much better looking than the other low-end sedans like indigo and logan…

Zaib, i own a Swift ZXi and i hate to sit inside my car when i take on the little rough roads. It rattles a lot inside. I dont expect this from a B+ (?) segment car like swift.
The car is too flimsy and you will be the worst affected if you hit any other vehicle in an accident.
I’ve been using old Zen before my swift, the quality of old Zen cannot be compared with Swift. Maruti is compromising on the quality for the sake of cost reduction.
Though i love driving my swift, its not designed to take on the daily city driving.

PLC is important, but new product development is more important. Just mere extension in terms of branding and models is not expected from Maruti after such a long & successful years.
Indian car market has matured a lot and that is substantiated by the car sales figures segment wise. Under this circumstance, aesthetic of any object is very important as this is a passenger car segment. Specially when Swift created such a classy segment, Swift sedan is probably going to evade the market share from the mid-segment.
Team Maruti-Just Wake up. Continue Esteem for some more time and substitute it with a good object. The same fate has happened with another model of yours; 1000CC.

Hi , Indian roads are so pathetic that they can make any car rattle. So don’t blame the car. I won’t comment on looks, since it is matter of personal choice, but by and large the reaction to the car has been very positive.

I have to disagree with shishir.Rattles reflect the poor the poor build quality of the vehicle rather than road conditions.It is is a real problem with swift.

I test drove the car yesterday. It is a good car. The drive was very smooth. I did not feel any rattling what so ever. Good pick-up, comfy seats. Will definitely look at as my next car.
