Maruti Suzuki Citibank AutoCard
The good thing:
You can get this credit card pretty easily provided you own a Maruti vehicle.
The card looks nice compared to basic cards given by the banks.
The card can be used to buy petrol from Indian Oil Pumps without paying any surcharge.
You get points for purchases made at Indian Oil Pumps and Maruti Service Centers.
The bad thing:
Most of the Indian Oil Pumps would have dead Citibank credit card machines.
The ones who would have the Citibank machine, they would not support the AutoCard points feature.
In the end… The Bonus Points promised by Maruti Suzuki are hard to get. Unless you are lucky enough to land at a petrol pump which has a functional Citibank card machine which support the AutoCard feature.

Recently I had purchased Maruti Zen Estilo. While purchasing this car, I was offered Citibank Credit Card, which I had accepted. I would also like to mention here that after purchasing my car, I have already referred 2 cars using this card and likely to refer two more cars on coming Dussera.
I regret to having this so called prestigious card due to practically getting benefits from it.
I have often noted that most of the Indian Oil Pumps would not have Citibank credit card machines or the machines are dead.
The ones who would have the Citibank machine, they would not support the AutoCard points feature.
In the end… The Bonus Points promised by Maruti Suzuki are hard to get. Unless you are lucky enough to land at a petrol pump which has a functional Citibank card machine which supports the AutoCard feature.
Recently, I got petrol from an Indian Oil petrol pump and paid through my above card. A surcharge of Rs. XXXX has been levied on me in place of promised Autopoints. I am highly disappointed with this.

What is told is correct in the above sunil’s letter. The Maruti Auto card tie with Citi Bank is not usable in IOCL outlets for fuel which is daily requirement approch for pay back systems are also very less accepting points from citibank.

Dear Sir,
My car No is HR26M9248. I applied for Autocard sometimes in May 2006. Autocard was delivered to me sometimes in December 2006. Unfortunately I was not at home and could not collect the card. Subsequently I would have received around 10 calls from your chennai office stating that your card would be delivered in a weeks time. Two months ago I received coupons also. I contacted local city bank office also, but as on date I have not received the card. Kindly let me know, is it possible for you people to trace the card and send it to me?
Thanks

Dear Sir,
I have purchased a Maruthi Esteem VXi from Spectra Motors - Borivili (E)(mumbai) on 6th January 2007. I was explained about this free Autocard, and I was very much eagar to have one. Within another two months time someone from Maruthi came on line (wished not to disclose the name) and asked so many questions which really not required for getting this card. I got annoyed and requested to get a card without asking irrelevent questions. Again I have reminded them that all relevent information has been provided when I am buying this car which already with Spectra Motors. Then on no response.
After 6 months later some one called up and informed me how benaficial using the Autocard . Then also I have told that I do not have an Autocard and I wish to have one. No further call & no card so far ! It is almost one year now, and I have got a scratch card with 10% cash back on fuel with Autocard. But where is the Autocard sir/madam?
Why a company like Maruthi who is best known for good customer relations behaves like this. Or is it Citi bank? I need a single window (person) to resole it. Can you help me ?
Regards,

Can anyone please tell what is the mode of payment after using this card? Is it same like other credit cards or different? Heard there is one web based payment system coupled with the CITIBANK website. Is it true? It would be very helpful if anyone could provide me with these details as the payment due date is knocking on the door. Thanks.

First of all the dealers of Maruti are rude enough to reject the Autocard. They donot have this system implemeted properly. On asking further questions they simply cheat by saying that come later, we will do it. I am struggling with a Autocard since last 3 years and in vain to get the points on. Such rude behaviour of the dealers have encouraged me to go to a different make if vehicle rather then sticking to Maruti.
Maruti needs to overcoome the impression that it still holds the monopoly / largets market share. Days are chaning fast and the market will not give maruti enough time even to react.
