		<description>AFAIK, MPlayer keeps reading a file until it finds a header it recognizes, and then plays it. Even if the media content is at the middle or end of a file, it could work.

Some incomplete files make mplayer stop within a second, and some incomplete files play fine-ish. YMMV.</description>
