Membership Confirmation Spam
PDF file attachment spam. Greeting Card from Neighbor Spam. The latest is now Membership Confirmation spam.
They try to show that you got registered on some awesome site and you get your login details along with the password.
But you are told to change the password to something else or the login would get disabled after a particular period.
Looks like the spammers are interested in getting details from users who keep a single password for multiple online destinations.

i get some of them too.
just got a spam sms on a phone whose number is with very limited people only. no idea how this number got out.

thats coz the mobile phone company itself has sold your number to spammers

umm right. that makes be think. why don’t mobiles have a blacklist of numbers which u can block on receiving a junk sms. future sms from those numbers are destroyed on receipt.

i’ve tried saving numbers in my mobile’s phonebook (with a display name of SPAM xyz) from which i get spam calls/sms for the past couple of years, but the numbers never seem to repeat, i never get a spam from the same number twice… these people must be using some something sophisticated
