Hi Guys,

I got the same crap, so am also trying different ways to complain.

another way is send the email from yaari.com to

Federal Trade Commission

About Spam & Phishing

    * Email: spam@uce.gov
      Forward unsolicited commercial email (spam), including phishing messages, directly to the FTC at spam@uce.gov. These messages will be stored in a database law enforcement agencies use in their investigations.

Thanks for taking this up and reporting to the big three e-mail services. I have also reported it to ftc.gov - the federal trade commission.

Guess what happened to me ... these guys hacked into my account and stole all the e-mail addresses. I had my 12 year old son's e-mail address in the address book. Soon they use my e-mail address and send him an e-mail telling him "xxx is you yaar" :-) He thinks it is from me and signs up. And now they steal e-mail addresses of a bunch of kids from his address book and send e-mails to every one of them. Now there are a whole bunch of kids getting spam from these unscrupulous people.

These also do not leave your cell phones alone. Don't be surprised if the cell phone bills of your kids start going through the roof.

You are right guys ... this is a scam. I have contacted gmail, yahoo and hotmail informing them about this practice. I have asked for their help to prevent scams by rogue sites like yaari. This is what I asked from them -

Black list sites like yaari and do not send address book data to requests originating from their server. If they can not do this, at least limit the total number of requests originating from a given site. Only honor 5 or 10 requests on a given day or week.

Can all those who were fooled by yaari please send an e-mail to abuse@gmail.com, abuse@yahoo.com and abuse@hotmail.com and request the same ? Or something similar. We have to put an end to this madness.
