Live Free or Die Hard
Ok. I saw this movie first day first show in Gurgaon yesterday. And I loved it. It is perhaps the best movie I saw this year along with 300.
Most people in the theater were actually happy to see a nicely made version 4 of the Die Hard series. I even heard people saying that they had expected the worst but this was actually very nicely done.
I love the characterization of John McClain. The only irritating thing is that they show was too many absurdities when it comes to computers and portable devices. The way they can connect their Nokia Communicator to any possible computer device that comes their ways. It has apparently been the same since the original Terminator when the kid used a portable device to hack an ATM Machine.
It might be possible for some but overall it seems unrealistic to me. Considering I find it hard to communicate between a Vista and a Linux powered machine!
The action sequences are awesome. I like the one between Maggie Q and McClain. There is a Chinese dude too in the movie who appears for a while. It took me 10 minutes before I remembered that he is the dude from the Japanese edition of the Fast and the Furious series.
Overall, a must watch. This was my first Die Hard movie in a movie theater and I loved it.
