Ubuntu: Need a video converter which outputs a Zune compatible file

Microsoft Zune is practically useless on a Linux machine. In fact, I cannot find a video converter on the Linux platform which would output a file which would sync on a Zune without requiring any conversion…

Any help?

So I realize this post is pretty old by now, but if you’re still looking around I would try FFMPEG. As far as I know it can convert most video files into a wide variety of formats, several of which I believe are accepted by the Zune. The problem, then, would be actually syncing them with the Zune…this is something I’m struggling to figure out (currently not possible from what I can tell).
