Hello Brothers! I was also having the same problem! But then I knew from somewhere that the latest version of Flash is made for Opera 9.50b. Before I was using 9.25. Please download the latest version of Opera. And btw, Opera uses FireFox’s plugins’ directory, so no need for another installation of flash player. Hope it would solve your problem!

Try this:
open terminal and set command: sudo -i
now you are root so you can put command: chmod 777 /usr/lib/opera -v
than find flash player with command: locate libflashplayer.so
than copy file libflashplayer.so to /usr/lib/opera
I belive there is shorter way, but I am beginner in Linux so please apologize my mistakes. Howewer it works!

Never used Easy Ubuntu. I found Automatix work out of box. Incidentally, there is a lot of opposition to it everywhere. The “purists” don’t seem to like it.

i tried automatix. i tried manually downloading and installing the plugins. opera just could not pick up the firefox plugins.

so i had to find this alternative way. worked for me.

in my previous installation opera managed to pick up the plugins automatically.

btw. easyubuntu just does not work on my machine. does it work on urs?

Its basically a no brainer job and flash 9 plays well in my dear Opera. This step is for the freshly installed Ubuntu and I always use this way out. It works!
