Enable Systray Quickstarter in OpenOffice

If you are a heavy user of OpenOffice and found it to be slow loading, do turn on the ‘enable systray quickstarter’ option in the preferences to make it faster. This way you can close down the application but still run them at blazing speeds. Inefficient but works.

Strange how when I have the quickstarter enabled and running, that it takes LONGER to load the OpenOffice Writer or Calc software than without the quickstarter loaded. Tested both conditions on fresh reboot. It seems as though with the quickstarter enabled, the hard drive is more of a bottleneck because the engine of the software is already running I guess. With quickstarter not running, whether or not some shared file are in memory (from starting it previously), the CPU has to execute the software from scratch, but it's still faster, usually less hard drive crunch time.

Anybody else have the same experience?
