Enabling Spell Check in OpenOffice Writer

So, I had to reinstall Ubuntu all over again. Was a pretty painful procedure but knowing I had made it work the first time I did not waste much time thinking over it.

One of the biggest hassle was to get spell checker working in OpenOffice Writer. The way I got it working was to run the ‘Install New Dictionaries’ Wizard from the File Menu and restarting OpenOffice.

See if it works for you that ways.

That said… I never faced this hassle when I installed OpenOffice on a Windows Machine.
