On Linux, You don’t worry about software updates?

Because the updates would worry about you. From what I have seen in the last couple of days, staying up to date on Linux has been pretty darn easy. You have a list of applications installed on your system… I believe all of these are checked with an online database on a daily basis to check if any of them are out of date.

And I get an option to update all those applications automatically. I don’t have to go to their websites to download and install the patches! Pretty darn easy…

I would like to see how this works for Opera which I installed manually. It seems to be missing from the Ubuntu central database.
