Opera Browser on Ubuntu

Installing Opera on Ubuntu was kinda complicated but I managed it somehow. Later on I found out that you can install Opera using the Automatrix2 tool…

It works fine. Is perfectly similar to the Windows Edition. Though working with the Opera’s default theme on Linux is a bit irritating on my machine. Turning to Windows Native (Shouldn’t it be Linux Native!) made it a bit smoother but bad looking. I should hunt for some Linux optimized themes…

hmm for me opera on linux has been smoother than opera on firefox. but it still has its share of jerks. and the theme looks horrible on gnome. cant find a way to make it look/perform better. :(

I used Ubuntu some time back. Searched a bit, it was Linux Mint I was actually referring too. I guess it doesn’t offer much by today’s standards/

Hey, It’s Automatix. Happens, matrix sounds cool though. Installing everything in Ubuntu was PIA until I found Automatix. Now, life is better when I use Ubuntu in time of crisis. Honestly, I don’t need anything else other than the ubuntu cd, automatix and a very good internet connection. BTW, there is an distro which has some of these basic apps and stuff already on the disc and its an extension of Ubuntu. Do you know about it? I forgot its name.
