Pulsar 200 rocks but Bajaj Service Centers suck
Ok. Pulsar 200 is awesome. I have already written a bit too much about it. But I am disappointed with the kind of response Bajaj people are showing the minor problems we are facing.
The bike seems to have developed a defect which has resulted in leakage of oil from one of the containers.
Yes, the one month old Pulsar 200 is already facing quality issues with oil leaking from the coolant chambers.
The Bajaj service center dudes do not have the require replacement parts and they are recommending the owner to get the part welded at some shop.
I think it’s time I am going to the service center in Gurgaon and yell a bit at the people who are just trying to get rid of this problem. If that does not work, I am going to contact the people at the company. If that does not work, I guess I would contact Autocar India.

Hey P200 is horrible bike…the reason for the launch is simple…they couldn’t get out good set of P220s in time….so to keep the hype flowing they have launched P200……There are lots of quality issues ….many are facing problems…pay Rs.70,000 bucks and get headache…..there is no medicine better than P200 !! It’s available @ Bajaj showrooms !! Now why the hell Service center should be blamed at all……it’s Bajaj poor quality that is responsible…not poor mechanics !!
SHAME ON BAJAJ !!

POOR, PATHETIC SERVICE AND QUALITY
THIS IS WHAT I SENT TO THE MAIL ID GIVEN IN THE MANUAL AND AFTER TYPING HARD FOR MORE THAN A HOUR I GOT A MAILER DEMON( FAILURE NOTICE ) YOUR MAIL IS NOT SENT THE ID IS INACTIVE. AWESOME SERVICE………………………………………….NO WORDS TO SAY
Respected Sir/Madam,
I wish this mail could have been an appreciation
mail but unfortunately its a complaint regarding a
brand new bike with which im totally unsatisfied and
pissed. Sir/Madam , Please excuse my language im not
at all in a good mood due to the bikes problem. I
Totally regret for buying a Bajaj Pulsar instead of a
Hero Honda Karizma. I bought it since all my friends
have it and the main reason for the purchase is that I
want to form a bikers club in which I had planned to
have long trips and documentaries posted on the
internet about the experience we had during out travel
in our bikes Since Bajaj engines are very consistant
and efficient, which looks like a bad idea for me now.
———-The problem is that the bikes Powerful
Engine makes pethetic noise from the day i purchased
it from the showroom…..when i asked Popular Bajaj (
Bangalore ) regarding this Engine noise, they said it
is normal in 180cc but my friends circle has all
180cc’s only , i have not heard this sound in any of
those bikes and I left the bike in the service center
after completing 300kms apprx which is not the actual
reading for a first service because i was not able to
tolerate the noise from the engine and excessive heat
from the engine with burnt smell.
——— Now another problem is that ( Sorry to say ,
I do not want to hurt anyones ego but is the fact
)Popular bajaj has the highest number of people from
kerala, now the service engineers were not able to
communicate with me in proper english nor hindi which
is very sad. I told them that the engine
is rough and is making heavy noise, for that they have
done 1st service changed the oil washed the bike and
gave it to me and i still heard the noise. I just took
my bike from there thinking its a waste, wasting time
with those so called service engineers.
——— I rode the bike to my native in the speed of
40kms per hour to set the engine with atleast one stop
every 20kms. In Erode, Tamil Nadu i wanted to check
the bike for this noise, they said it is CLUTCH
LOADING NOISE and they rectified it, the bike was
little smooth after the SIXER LOADING ADJUSTMENT. But
the screeching noise was not controlled.
——— I came back to bangalore with the same
speed, I was satisfied with the mileage but the same
trouble started with more noises…….
I consulted my private mechanic who is a professional
dirt track racer and an expert about this ….he
checked and told me that he has not heard so many
noises at one time in any of the pulsar’s( which is a
record breaking feedback and a positive feedback too,
but not for my bike )…..He claimed that the sounds
are not from the Bore ( Combustion chamber ) but from
the CLUTCH assembly which makes the bike rough, the
TAPPET NOICE , ENGINE CHAIN , CAMS…AND HE SAID THAT
CLEARANCE SOUND IS ALSO HEARD.
———————–Sir/Madam , you are the only
point of contact who can help me with this issue. If
you dont have a suggestion for this then i dont know
what to do to my bike. I dont want to talk bad about
Bajaj bikes but after this will have to. Please help
me with this problem.
————— I have a lot of expectations from this
mail sent to you asking for help. My bike is under
perfect warranty,,,,plz get back to me with any
qualified and experienced service engineer who can
understand the engines heart beat as i do.
—————After i get a response from someone
willing to solve the problem i will show this email
print to the service center’s manager incharge.
———Since the bike is under warranty plz change
any worn out part and set my bike right…..
Awaiting for your favourable response.
Thank You,
Faithfully,

Dear friend Mallik Wassim,
You are not only one Unsatisfied Customer, but there is a large community of unsatisfied customers including me. I own a Pulsar 150, which i regularly (!) get serviced at Popular BAJAJ at Bannerghatta & Kormangala. Very HORRIBLE services I got.
(i) They billed for oil change, but oil was not changed at all. Coz the engine oil already in my bike was just one month old and it was good, so they simply never changed the oil but charged me.
(ii) While replacing the clutch, they forgot to tighten to specfied torque & it got loosened, i got stranded at Hosur Road, then search for roadside mechanic.
(iii) Pulsar class vehicles has got the poor quality clutch plates, they burn out within a year of usage.
(iv) Popular bajaj loaded the clutch while servicing, but it further developed more problems.
(vi) Finally i lost my helmet also. I kept my helmet when i went for servicing, after one hour completing the formalaties, i found my helmet missing. BEWARE… Safeguard your helmets! Shame on them, they cant even safeguard the customer’s helmet.
The staff are very arrogant & totally irresponsible.
(vii) They are capable of solving one problem & creating another problem. If you ask to rectify indicator, side stand lamp will never work, if you need to rectify the horn, tail lamp will go-off.
BE PREPARED.
(viii) `Free’ services were also being charged.
Surely BAJAJ will become “UNPOPULAR” becoz of “POPULAR BAJAJ” like dealers and Service.
I dont know whom to blame.. Bajaj’s poor quality or the poor mechanics !!

Popular bajaj you guys say is all Malyalees, dont you know by now these people will stoop to any level to cheat to make money.
Why do you go there, why dont you send complaints by Indian Posts (certificate of posting) to Bajaj HO.

They are cheating.
During my second service one of the bajaj authorised service center has stolen my original and welfucntioning carborator and given a old spoilt one. After that onwars my vehicle is not runing well and till today I have not got the new carborator, but my vehicle is just 5 months old. Frustrated to get the waranty, I am really feel cheated.
This happens only in our country where you pay and get cheated that too by big brands like this one.
