Me don’t like the Chevrolet Spark much…
I will reconsider after taking it on a test ride. They said I could come again for a test ride on Monday.
I had expected a lot more from General Motors regarding their just launched Chevrolet Spark. But I am disappointed. I like the exteriors but the paint job is not very impressive. The car just does not give a sparkling look.
Interiors are disappointing too. The dashboard is very cluttered. The speedometer console looks very cheap. Seating position is average. Leg space is average. I am not going to compare it to Zen Estilo which I think is perhaps the gayest car in the Indian market today.
hi frnds.. i am ownin a spark ls.. i thinks its better than santro nd estilo as its riding is vry smooth nd overall its luk, its so cute na.. the only prob i’m facing is the sound frm the back side( some annoyin sound while goin thru bad roads). in al other sense i am vry much satisfied with the spark. so i advice u ppl to go for GM cars rather than ny other company.

good point about the speedo at the center… moms are way too curious about the speeds we are driving at.
I have some very similar observations. I was looking forward to this car but i must say i was disappointed to see it from inside.
Few things i didn’t like.
0. The colours in which spark is available are simply said “pathetic”. They have used that absurd green color for launching the car as well. I have no personal hatred for the green color but this one is just not pleasing to the eye.
1. The dashboard: This could have been a lot better. The co-driver’s side dahsboard is very curvy and you can’t keep anything there as it will simply fall off.
2. Common right and left drive: I think GM tried to be a bit smart here and
this might turn off atleast some prospective customers. What they have done is that with minimal changes to the steering and the front panel controls they can make right hand and left hand driven cars. The negative is that the wiper and side indicators are on the opposite sides. Like if you drive in India you would expect the indicator to be on right and wiper on left. Here it is opposite. Also the speedometer is in the center. So if you are mom is siiting in the car and she peeps in the speedometer u better slow down !!!
3. The backseat: in the LT version there is a 60:40 divide. Though a good addition and unique in this segment the, th dividor is irritating if sit on top of it. So with 3 people in the backseat one will defintely feel the “level difference”. Good idea, bad implementation

I was actually planning to get U-VA, over all the rest, Spark, Swift, Getz, Zen Estilo & wat not. The thing is, I’m reading all these mixed reviews about the car. Price, power…(hope there’s not anything left to add!)
My only other option was Getz. I’m not even going to look at Swift cause I just dont dig it. I havent test driven both U-VA or Getz. Am thoroughly confused now that I’m effectively befuddled. Care to shed a light?
Btw, I stay in Sikkim so REALLY concerned about the power bit of U-VA. It’ll only be the base model for me in both options.
