Digg rocks for one day old stories

Staying in touch with the absolute latest is what web users prefer generally. But, for a Digg user, to try and check out the latest stories can be very frustrating.

First. Most of the stories on the front page are likely to be receiving thousands of hits at that particular moment. Most web services crumble under that kind of load. So you end up seeing a dead website or are forced to go and check out a mirror copy.

Second. Most of the time, the fun stuff lies in the comments on the story. I tend to get better material from the positively dugg comments on the story than the story itself. This itself is a good reason to check out the hot material on the Digg one day late.

As a result, I prefer to check older stuff on digg. The experience turns out to be more pleasant.
