Yahoo! Answers Opinion

So we all know that Google’s Answer service flopped big time. Yahoo! is currently the market leader when it comes to asking stupid questions and getting even stupider answers.

Why?

I have been spending some time on Yahoo! Answers and the experience has been pathetic. Some of the questions are downright stupid. Most other questions in tech section are related to online piracy. Yahoo! apparently has no filters in place.

I tried reporting some instances. Don’t think it is going to change anything. Yahoo! is getting incredible amount of free content which is doing incredible well in Google.

I am not sure if anyone of you have used the service and got a decent answer for your question!

I have been in the professional aquarium maintenance and research field for over 28 years now and the answers to the questions that are picked as best are appalling. Most of the persons who answer there and then end up as a “top contributor” which further as so called credibility are nothing more than posers that would not do well in a real scientific debate. If just for the sake of the aquarium hobby so as to stop the anecdotal BS from being passed on, Yahoo needs to shut this monstrosity down.

They seem to have taken the question very seriously! There is a very comprehensive and serious reply to an unwanted stupid question!
