Shobha De on Koffee with Karan
For a change I saw some intelligent conversation on the show. KJ was an ass like ever. Shobha De was excellent. Vijay Mallya looked out of place but did a good job dealing with the crap thrown at him.

Koffee with Karan has transcendently squandered its arousing impact on copious niches across the sub-continent. As it ascends into a rapturous new season, one instinctively quests for tiny vestiges of the ‘aubergine’ set that ejaculated grace and somewhat transfixed one to wallow the triumphant aura of the show. It’s a pity how the new season blares nothing but odd traces of the former, more comported strand of episodes. Nostalgia, after all, is abhorred when gushed into one’s mind like a tsunami of noxious memories. Anyhow, Shobha De’s appalling comeback did perk up lush, almost awe-inspiring memories. Vijay Mallya (who???) was a startling entity on the show, whilst Shobha exuded wit and a exorbitant token of eloquence. The former resolved to be more sassy and mire the viewers with humdrum political commentaries cum provocative small-talk, that proliferated the ambience of the show into a subtle and immensely salacious one.
Though, I must elucidate my rues. Firstly, by promulgating an assorted posse of stars (Rakhi Sawant being the most organic!) what message was being wafted across? THAT KOFFEE WITH KARAN IS INDIAN CINEMA ORIENTED FORUM WHERE UNSCRUPULOUS STARS UNVEIL SECRETS AND ALLEVIATE RUMOURS? If so, why was Vijay crammed into this glum episode? More significantly, why was Shobha there? All right, I must clench to the notion that she is an intrinsic figment of the Indian Film Industry, but what does Karan want to attest to by assuring her an undettered entrance on his show?
Call me judgmental or somewhat misguided by an imbroglio, but I think Karan is utilizing Shobha as a trinket of intellectualism, that can simultaneously allure more viewer who blatantly detest him.
Shobha???
Her presence on the show allowed her to engage in potent conversations about a multiplicity of topics, and since she was the only one with literary inclinations, she was successful in her endeavor!
Reproach.
More reproach.
KARAN, a novice suspect. Why on God’s Earth were you being so exotic? You weren’t dealing with star but tangible, affluent, well-reputed and well-honed individuals. Couldn’t you be a trifle reticent???
Well, we are mortals with the infinite right to blunder. Who am I to repudiate in this regard?

Shobha De is a component of controversy in India, yet I was paramountly enticed by her guest appearance on the famed talk show ‘Koffee with Karan’. The certitude and majestic aura she exuded and her insightful scrutiny of the Bollywood arena was truly impeccable. She, like her deft counterpart, Shabana Azmi(who was also present at this ‘noxiously-true’ set), has matured which a prominence and style which is tantamount to brilliance.
I’ve always believed that reformation makes one enter a utopian universe with plausible aplomp. Likewise, after incalculable vicissitudes, ranging from spouses, careers and perceptions, Shobha can wholeheartedly confess that she has elevated from a putrid but priceless stance in society, to a more respectable and ‘elite’ position!
