Yahoo! On Steroids?

This is how Yahoo! shows the cache of this webpage. It show posts which were posted just few hours back. Is Yahoo! now updating the index on an hourly basis?

    Hey man,

No, it's not like Yahoo is getting crazy and crawling your site every few hours. The deal is this... Yahoo is searching your content, but only linking the the corresponding url. So when a search is done of your main url [www.sushubh.net] then you will always see the most recent post and as your site's PHP will always pull the latest post.

But, if Yahoo [or Google or whoever] indexes a specific post [i.e. Why India Loves Cricket] then that post will be referenced and will load. But, say, for instance, that you deleted that post AFTER is was indexed by Yahoo, then Yahoo would still have search results for that article, but your page would appear blank because Yahoo would reference the url of that post, and not the text itself, so when your host tries to pull up that blog post url, nothing will be returned and the page will be blank.

Now that is way more than you wanted to know, isn't it? I will be quiet now.

    Cheers, mate!

actually when i saw this page in the yahoo cache. my actual blog had already been updated with newer posts. so yahoo was actually showing an older version of the page not just the latest version of the page.

i hope you understand what i am saying here.
