McDonald’s at PVR MGF
This food chain is increasingly becoming a painful experience if you want to have a snack out. First they stopped giving out ketchup in small cups replacing them with pouches. And now, the size of their burgers is becoming smaller by the day.
Today was a painful visit. I went to PVR MGF to see 300 the movie. Wanted to have a quick snack so went to the neighboring McDonald’s outlet.
It was around 11 am in the morning. I went the counter and placed my order. I gave the dude a 500 rupee note.
The dude had no change. I said, it’s not a problem as I could collect it after I complete my snack as he already had a couple of people in the queue.
He said he cannot take my order unless I can supply him smaller denominations.
Now, my question is. Is it my headache to bring change from home if I want to have a snack at a MNC food chain? My bill was around 150 bucks so it was not as if I was asking him to give me something worth a few bucks.
I had no option. I went to the nearby Nescafe store. Ordered an Ice Tea worth Rs. 20. Gave him the same 500 rupee note and got my change with no fuss.
Could have been a bad no-change day at this particular McDonald’s counter but the dude could have handled the situation better. Never mind. I am ranting for no particular reasons.
Anyways, I ordered my snack at McD afterwards to be disappointed as the McVeggie burger tasted more like the Aaloo Tikki burger. I wanted to get the delivered food item checked by the dude in charge but I was getting late for the movie so decided to leave it at that point.
Next time, I would keep in mind to check out other food joints in the region. I don’t want a disgusting overpriced burger with ketchup being supplied in pouches.
