The problem with Tata Nano

Where are the roads?

Where is the parking space for all these new cars you plan to sell?

How safe are they going to be?

Is it safe enough to be sold in Europe/USA?

Would you provide Air Bags as an option?

What about ABS and other safety features?

Would it have the same quality issues Indica and Indigo currently has?

How efficient would be the service and support network?

People hate almost all of your divisions which are B2C based. Tata Indicom, VSNL, Tata Sky all have issues with customer support…

Maruthi 800, which is the basic of all the cars.. itself is 200000 then you yourself assume the condition of this.

Tata Indiva is really a very good car. It is very much like other cars safe and tested. and meets all the car requirements.

Look guys we need to look at this in a different way as how much this car is gona be as far as safety is concerned. Every one is ready to make a car which is cheap, and every one is wating for such offerings but what would be the result when this car will go bang.......... Buying car and driving is not big thing

Hey..Are you guys afraid or just too modest to accept the fact that every tom, dick and harry would own a car? A simple scenario : A Father, Wife and two children on a fimsy two wheeler in the middle of heavy traffic trying to get to the other side of the city to a temple and the first thing that they pray for is "Lord, Take us safely back from where we came!" This is a real time scenario guys!! Security of this four wheeler is far more better than the two wheeler mentioned above!!

1) the roads are there. the only problem is that we indians dont have foresight. the roads are there but not wide enuf...not enuf lanes and not enuf parking space.
above all that have u ever thot of ansering the ques " why arent there enuff roads ?"
is the govt which is allotted crores of rupees to build infrastructure using the money correctly?
now they will have to ...they shud...india is growing and you have no right to question its growing !

2) the cars are as safe our middle class beloved maruti 800 or alto.
they have passed full frontal and sideways crash tests in india and europe at 48 kmph .
the cars are targetted at small towns and ppl who will never be able to have a safe mode of all weather transport in their lives.
this car is more safe that u think.

3) first lets sell it to ppl here in india who really need an all weather tansport in the money they can afford. once weve done that we shall look at other markets and if we step into aother markets we shall prepare the cars accordingly. Riht now we shud not look at europe & america...but at the BRIC.

4) does alto and maruti 800 ( which was launched in early 1980s ) have ABS , airbags or other such talked off feature ?
We indians have lived without all this so happily and even now wen the most basc feature like a seatbelt is there ppl dont use it as they are not comfortable.
Funny situation.
newys the higher version wil come with airbags.
the base version has seatbelts.

5)the company is developing a new supply chain management system for the car. it will be much more efficient and even cater to villages where water and electricity are not regular .

we indians shud be proud of our engineering capability shown by launching this form of transport .
its all been a mans dream to provide an all weather safe transport to a family of 5 who wud otherwise have never dreamt of anything but a scooter.
