The Pursuit of Happyness

My spellchecker tells me that Happyness is not even a word. The correct spelling is supposed to be Happiness. I am not sure.

The movie has Will Smith in his I suppose most down to earth role ever? He does a fine job in the character but something is definitely missing.

This movie could have been the Forrest Gump of his movie career but I don’t think it is.

Most of the movie is depressing. Ending comes after a long time and is pretty small. But then, the movie is based on his pursuit of happiness not the happiness itself.

One interesting thing is that the kid playing Smith’s son in the movie is his real son. Pretty awesome chemistry between the two chaps.

Another interesting fact. The voice behind Homer Simpson on The Simpsons, Dan Castellaneta has a pretty decent role in the movie and he actually asks Smith to get him a donut. That was pretty hilarious.
