I don’t like the looks very much though…well, you cant differentiate between the One Rupee coin and the Two rupee coin as easily as you could when the two rupee coin had those odd edges

Dude, that symbol on the back is a Christian Cross.

  12. Ashwin Says:

Not really, no, I don’t think its a cross…It’s probably got something to do with the railways. These coins, when inserted onto the new “Platform ticket machines” will give you your weight and your ticket in one go! Wow that’s great just great! It shows that our government is advancing so much that it makes people realize how overweight they really are :D Hats of to the inventors… :P

It is not Manmohan Singh’s minority appeasement. It is the Super Prime Minister, Sonia’s machinations with the help of the christian band led by Margaret Alva, Ambica Soni, Ajit Jogi, B. Sankaranand, Y.S.R. Reddy, Oscar Fernandes and a host of other christians, some with totally christian names and some with Hindu names - but all these are christians, of that there is no doubt. With Sonia as SPM, Rome is ruling over India. Some things come to light but they form only the tip of the iceberg. God alone knows what all they are doing to christianise India.

Well i havn’t checked but as per Ashwin’s reply, this is a good concept that a machine reades the code on the coine, rather than its shape and give you the appropreate result or thing. but we havn’t received any confirmation from our govt. side regarding this.
Ashwin please check that the ticketing machine is working with old 2 rupees coin or not or let me know where this machine is installed.

    Hi guys,

Wake up and smell the “chai”! Don’t you realize who’s behind the “cross” on the 2 rupee coin? Who else other than dear Antonia Maino and her Christian chelas? We should pack Ms Maino off to Italy ASAP along with her Christian family.

Please be proactive. DO NOT vote this foreign ***** or the UPA govt back to power.

Jai Sheranwaliye, tera jawab nahin. Jai Hind.

  27. Jai Hind Says:

Ms. Antonia Maino (the foreign Christian ruler of India) has added the last straw to the camel’s back. The printing of the “cross” on the one and two rupee coins of Hindustan is outrageous, shocking, and unacceptable! The coins should be withdrawn ASAP.

Oh, and what a coincidence (!?) that this offensive action has been unleashed upon Hindustan in the same year in which “Christ the Redeemer” has officially been proclaimed a “wonder of the world”!! (”wonder of the world”, indeed!, “coincidence”, indeed!)I smell a “RATzinger”.

It’s time for all the Hindus to wake up and smell the “chai”!! The foreign Christian ruler is making a mockery of all the 800 million (spineless) Hindus in their very own homeland! How sad!

What should the Hindus do to protect themselves from Ms. Maino’s sinister plans? For starters, all the Hindus must unite and fight together as ONE. Antonia “Clandestine” Maino along with her bootlicking Christian and pseudo-Hindu chelas, should be kicked out of office (and out of Hindustan) ASAP. And while we’re at it, we should also show the “EXIT” sign to all the proselytizing parasites (aka missionaries) that are operating freely all across Hindustan (thanks to the foreign Catholic ruler of India).

This a sad time for India (Hindus, in particular). My grandfather (a notable freedom fighter, a proud Hindu, and a true “Gandhian”) would have wept had he been alive today. He fought extremely hard to win independence for India — but, alas, what good is it? We’re back to square one - India’s PM is nothing but a spineless puppet dancing to the tune of an uneducated, colonial, white Christian vixen, who ironically claims to be the “Bahu” of our great Hindustan! Shameful and unbelievable! Equally shameful is having Pratibha Patil as the President of Hindustan, a “Hindu” who refused to sign the Anti-conversion Bill in Rajasthan, just so she could please her colonial Christian boss in New Delhi! This is the height of bootlicking! This clearly proves that Pratibha Patil will be more than willing to sell her soul even to the devil just for a couple of extra bucks! Despicable behaviour, indeed!

It’s really important for the Hindus to come together as a community before it is too late, and fight the evil forces that are slowly destroying Hinduism and its unique culture and heritage.

    Jai Hind! Mera Hindustan mahan!

    Hi,
I was browsing through the web and came across an interesting petition to protest the ‘cross’ symbol on India’s National Currency (the recently issued Re 2 coin). As a secular Indian, it concerns me to see the use of a religious symbol on national currency in order to promote religion. Interestingly, the map of India and Satyamev Jayate are also missing on these newly issued Re2 coins. I believe that this is a gross violation of India’s ’secular’ principles. It violates the Constitution of India which proclaims that India is a ’secular’ state. MESSAGE:

As a secular Indian, it concerns me to see the use of a religious symbol on India’s recently issued 2 Rupee coins in order to promote religion. Religious symbols have never been used before on national currency since it is UNCONSTITUTIONAL (NOT SECULAR) to do so. Symbols on the NATION’S CURRENCY should represent ALL the people of India.

The Reserve Bank of India recently issued a 2 rupee coin with a Christian crusader’s cross on it. The Government of India claims that the symbol is a new way to represent “unity in diversity”, and that it is not a “cross”. However, the fact remains that the symbol on the 2 rupee coin is a Christian crusader’s cross! Equally surprising is the fact that, on these newly issued 2 Rupee coins, the map of India is missing and ‘Satyamev Jayate’ is either omitted or smudged!

I believe that the use of ANY religious symbols on the NATION’S CURRENCY to promote religion constitutes a gross violation of India’s ’secular’ principles. Hi guys!

Here’s my 2 paise worth on the 2 rupee controversy.

It doesn’t matter whether the ‘cross’ (or ‘cross like symbol’) on the new 2 rupee coin has been printed intentionally or unintentionally. The conclusion, in my view, is the same.

If the motive behind printing the ‘cross’ on the coin is intentional, then shame upon the Govt! The public should demand the immediate withdrawal of this non-secular coin. India’s ‘secular’ values must not be compromised at any cost. On the flip side, if the ‘cross’ on the coin may be attributable to nothing more than poor taste and design, and is indeed unintentional, it would befit the Govt to recall this coin ASAP, just to avoid any potential issues that may arise because of the design’s ‘likeness’ to a ‘cross’ (recalling the coin would also help clear the Govt of any pseudo-secular charges imposed upon it by the public……….in light of this fact, doesn’t it make you wonder why the Govt hasn’t recalled the 2 (as well as the 1) rupee coin as yet?

Oh! And one more thing! From a usability standpoint, this coin really stinks.

The coin scores a big, fat ‘zero’ no matter how you flip it! Let’s show this worthless coin the door!

    Proud, Secular Indian.

By the way, if you are not an Indian, stay out of this matter and mind your own business. Do not meddle in our country’s affairs. I really like comment #19 — it doesn’t matter whether the design (’cross’) has been printed intentionally or unintentionally — this ‘design’ is likely to cause nothing but problems, the govt should be responsible enough to withdraw it at the earliest. And as rightly pointed out in # 19, it’s really quite hard to distinguish between the old 1 rupee coin and the new 2 rupee coin (usability issue)…..another great reason to get rid of this lousy junk.

The fact is that Bharat is secular only ON PAPER. The present govt is ANTI-HINDU. Please watch “Secularism in India Exposed” on YouTube. It clearly highlights the disgusting (true) pseudo-secular state of Bharat today.

Hi, I am totally agreed with Mr. Rajesh,

Rather thank putting any symbol, they should put different states of indai. It will be help full and a lesson to other that India is a one country. Think a north Indian using a coin on which Tamilnadu state is minted.
I love my India and we all play a major role in development of our nation. The speed of development in India is really fast and my brothers and sisters I want to thank everybody for all the effort we are putting to make our nation proud.

    Shashank Saxena,
You obviously haven’t understood the gravity of the problem. The issue runs much deeper than a “cross” on a coin. Don’t you understand the hidden agenda behind all this?
Here’s the bottom line : Hinduism is being attacked left, right and centre from 3 forces - Christianity, Islam and Communism and they all have one goal - to destroy Hinduism from the root! Stop being NAIVE.
