Back to the desktop computer

It was painful getting the computer repaired. Got the SMPS changed twice. Got the processor fan changed. And had to find a new motherboard. Could not. So ended up getting a second hand motherboard. It seems to be working fine now. I am not sure for how long though.

The other sad thing? The PC guy managed to bork my system installation. Starting from scratch is very painful. I can see that as I am living with it right now. Fixing everything. Installing everything. Setting everything. Again.

neh. that’s not related to my desktop of course.

i tried upgrading the forum to the latest stable release of IPB. the upgrade was not successful.

i can revert back to the backup or wait till the IPB guys respond to my support query. i am giving them sometime before i restore the backup and get the forum to older version.
