Mobile Phone Hassles

Ok. So I have two mobile phones. One is the old Panasonic GD 88 model. Its battery is a cheap Chinese version I bought from the gaffar market in Delhi coz the original one had died. The battery has worked somewhat nicely since the last couple of months. However, it is dying way too frequently on me.

I might get that battery replaced. Or get a new phone. The sad thing is that there is not one phone in the market, which interests me. I have bought two Nokia phones and the Moto L7 only to find them cumbersome to use. I got rid of them eventually.

The other phone I have is a cheap Nokia. It is a Tata Indicom phone. I got it for real cheap under some corporate scheme. However, it is somewhat defective as it shuts down randomly. Sometimes it works just fine. It does its job well. I might get it replaced with a new unit sometime soon.

The problem is. I do not use mobiles much. No one calls me. Generally, I hate getting calls on my mobile phone. That is why I tend to change my number every six months to get rid of the spam calls from mobile companies and banks and financial institutions.

But, having a mobile phone is a necessasity. I would not like to be in a situation where I am stuck with a dead car on a lonely road without a mobile phone. The point is… whether I should get a cheap Nokia 2600 (which I somewhat like) and stop using this GD 88 which I absolutely adore. Or should I get one of those expensive ones like the Sony Walkman/Cybershot or the Moto Ming A1200.

I know this is a worthless post. I am confused and I need an answer.

I have two ancient phones - one nokia 1100 and another nokia lying un-used for the moment.. If you have a museum where you could store them, I am ready to donate :)

For the choice of the phone, my suggestion is to buy something very in-expensive just enough to make and receive calls.. after all, even if u lose them, it does not hurt much!

Get an Ngage QD. Its got everything and if you’re stuck on the road and get attacked, it’ll make an exceptional bludgeoning tool :P
