Don 2 is possible



I just came back from the evening show of Don and there is just one thing in my mind… I really hope they do not make a Don 2.

Nothing exactly happens in the movie. Don is alive. His main enemy is still alive. They just managed to fool a lot of people in the movie killing the smaller characters.

The director made a terrible movie overall. Changed the story a lot from the original Don featuring Amitabh Bachchan. Shah Rukh Khan tries hard not to overact but ends up doing exactly that in parts.

But then, the character demanded from him to overact. I won’t say I wasted 3 hours of my life watching this movie but I would definitely say I won’t like to watch it for the second time. It’s pretty damn frustrating.

As usual, Boman Irani is the star in the movie. He continues to dominate the primary characters in all the recent films he has been in. excellent performance. Om Puri is wasted and looks idiotic in most parts but then his character demanded that he acts like one.

I do not even want to talk about the female characters in the movie. They are as useless as they almost always are in such kind of movies.

The film is also a great showcase for product endorsements. Shah Rukh Khan wears a TAG Heuer. He drives a Hyundai Sonata. Works on a Compaq laptop. Carries a Motorola Razr mobile phone. In fact, all the characters in the movie carry around a Motorola handset. Boman is stuck with the Moto Slvr L7 which is pretty sad. I might have missed some other endorsements.
