Indian Government and Banned Blogs

It is pretty sad that I cannot access Blogger and TypePad based blogs from my Airtel connection. No idea what the government is thinking when they instruct the ISPs to block certain websites.

Ironically, what they end up doing is making people curious. Thanks to the Right to Information act (or law), we can actually find out the sites they do not want us to see.

And since it is the INTERNET, we can go and check those sites out. And I am sure, a lot of Indians would indeed find ways to get around the ban to check out what these banned sites have to say.

Government should stay quiet. That is the best thing they can do. Whenever we have government’s involvement in ANYTHING, they practically screw it up for all of us.
