Dad heard about this new restaurant in town from an office colleague. Actually, he mistook the name to be Yellow Delhi or something like that. It is in sector 9 in Panchkula and is a franchisee of Sanjeev Kapoor (of Khana Khazana fame) chain of restaurants.
It turned out to be good. The owner seemed to be fan of stainless steel crockery. From the plate base to the serving bowls to the salt containers, everything was shiny steelware. Looked like before opening the restaurant the owner ran a stainless steel appliances company, which went bust.
The family being vegetarian was looking for some routine stuff considering I do not like to experiment much. Did not find Dal Makhni (which was a shame), had to settle for some other Dal with other dishes consisting of Mushrooms and Paneer. So, nothing special to talk about. The food was good, nothing spectacular that I would like to go there again. There was also a buffet option where I had the choice to test out lots of other stuff, but decided against it. In the end, it was an ok affair. Nothing was exceptional, but nothing disappointed too.
Rates were ok; in fact, I found them to be cheaper than Moets in Delhi/Gurgaon. Service was polite and prompt. Overall, an average experience. Not that I will remember for long. Though, I really want to go to a restaurant called Copper Chimney in Chandigarh. Have heard many good things about it.
