The Da Vinci Code
I watched it finally yesterday and was disappointed like many other people. It was an average attempt from the otherwise very fabulous Ron Howard. I remember seeing him in the television series Happy Days where he played one of the many central characters. And he has made some really fantastic movies.
The Da Vinci Code however is not one of them. The biggest problem of the movie is the length. Despite being longer than most typical English movies, it skipped on various parts in the novel. It even ignored several aspects in the novel to shorten the story. And if you have read the novel, you would be surprised how soon things progress in the movie.
There is little puzzle solving in the movie which was I believe the basic theme of the movie besides the religious connection. Overall an average attempt. Tom Hanks was as usual good. Audrey Tautou was nice in parts. I don’t like Jean Reno a bit. Paul Bettany and Ian McKellen were not so impressive at all.
The only nice parts were the historic moments, which were shown as the imagination of Robert Langdon. Other than that… as I have already said. An average movie. I would however recommend it over Fanaa. I am not watching that movie unless I get really bored some night and go watch it this week.

Ppl say u need to read the book, before u watch the movie..but then if u have read the book, the movie does no justice! So its a paradox!

BTW, Poseidon is a good movie.. On the lines of Titanic, but much better cinematography and action! Its about a luxury ocean liner swamped by a tidal wave and an attempt to escape the sinking ship..
