Umm.. You say, citizen of India using democratic rights to express himself..
Well, it would have been better if he did some research before “expressing himself” over sensitive issues of Narmada Dam.
Plus, as he said that he was “inspired” by his own role in Rang De Basanti, then why doesn’t he start closer at home? like, cleaning up hindi film industry from the underworld money?
Why does he still endorse coke when thousands are suffering because of the chemicals released at the coke factory? And not to forget the weird things found in the bottles and product these days!
Being a public figure, he must refrain from speaking something which hurts the sentiments of people. Narmada Dam is very essential for Gujarat!

I know for sure about plight of villagers being uprooted due to dam. If govt can not rehabilitate them then construction of this dam should be stopeed.

People ,
Who here knows the meaning of democracy? Has anyone heard of freedom of speech? Has anyone heard of having basic rights?. If you donot know these please donot write here. I am from Vadodara and let me tell you that I am well educated unlike some other people here who are speaking in favour of the ban. I can be wrong and still speak about any issue I want. This is what we are doing right now. Who ultimately decides if building of the dam is right or not? The people do. We need to have opinions over an issue. They maybe right or wrong(thats why they are opinions) or they could be biased or unbiased. The BJP and all other communal parties fool the people and make a mockery out of them. Do you really think that by killing muslims in the state you will be getting closer to god???. If so, you are terribly wrong, god just started hating you!. If you believe in heaven or hell, let me tell you hell is the place where you belong. The bottom line : - The people of Gujarat are being misled and I can only say one thing to them “please open your eyes”. So then the big question who is to blame?. I don’t think by now there is any doubt in my mind. It is the government led by Narendra Modi, all other communal parties and to an extent we, the people who blindly follow the people at the top. I donot care whether it is Amir, Shahrukh or Salman, the fact remains that everyone has an opinion and they have the right to express it. I write this in the hope that people will someday open their eyes and be more open-minded. For people like Narendra Modi and others, I can only say one thing ” Please let the state and the world become a better place to live in”. Take care guys.

1. This is Modi’s Gujarat. If you are not with us, you are against us.
2. If you are against us then you are against India.
3. If you are against India, the you must be a non-Hindu.
4. If you are non-Hindu, then you must be funded by foreigners.
5. If you are funded by foreigners, than leave India.
6. India is for Hindus - long live Modicracy.

I am neither a hindu nor a muslim. All I can tell you is that ure comments are extremely narrow-minded and you are one of those who “blindly” follow Modi like a dog would. What you write is utter rubbish and it shows how uneducated you are. While growing up, I never had anything against any religion and was very accepting. Now after growing up, I feel that if there is any religion that I have a dislike for, it is definately hinduism. Not because of what the religion has in its script but its followers. They are just people who have alot of hatred filled up in them. So does the other side but if you go meet muslims who are not extremists, they have no hatredness against the hindus or shall i say very few do. However, on the hindu side, most of them are taught to hate the muslims mainly from people like modi and other VHP leaders. So coming back to what the user above has said that Gujarat is a Modicracy. Yes, it is at the moment and it is very unfortunate. Let me ask you few questions: - So do you think that taking such a hard line stand against all other non-hindus makes you feel good about yourself and your religion? Do people like you feel good about themselves after they place axes on the neck of a muslim? Do you really enjoy killing muslims? or do you like it if another hindu killed a muslim? Does it give you satisfaction? If that answer to any of these is yes, you are not only a sick man but even according to hinduism, you are doomed and will definately goto the place where you belong - HELL. Unfortunately unlike you, I have an India in mind where there would be peace, equality and literate people.At present, this goal is very difficult to achieve but I will try whatever I can in my power to do so. Hopefully the next generation would be more educated about these things and if things work out, people like you will change their minds on these issues(after all you guys are puppets of the system). Hinduism wasn’t meant to be this way, some of its followers just made it into a religion of hatred.

from what i know Gujarat is a part of india which is a democracy. it does not have its own constitution and follows the constitution of the country. that constitution gives me the power to express my thoughts and views unless its provocative and is of violent nature.

deear all,
i was the one who had gone to watch the movie. i might had seen the movie on cd or net but i had to put a message by my this visit.
my question was
1. why bjp is playing with the sentiments of people of gujarat. we have found them always misleading people. in this case also where aamir, talked of rehablitation and they conveyed in gujarat that aamir was against dam which was certainly a wrong message.
2. after supreme court’s decision which was “dam’s height should be increased but with that rehabilitation should also been done” our favourite chief minster broked his fast and the same thing when was commented by aamir he was been declared as “gujarat virodhi” why this bias policy ?
3. if aamir is wring than supreme court is also wrong then why this so called gujarat leaders are not opposing supreme?
4. few political parties opposing aamir and the potrait in all over india is made that gujarat is opposing aamir. so let the film be released in gujarat and see to it how many are watching it. but the terror of this political parties is so much that firstly it is been not released by cinema and multiplex owner and secondly people are terrified as what happened during ‘Rang De Basanti”
see i am fan of modi for his works but when someone is going on the wrong path then it is our duty to stop him and not to follow him like a puppet dog.
