shame shame…
I don’t know whom I am more ashamed of…
The government for waiving off the tax on Sachin’s Ferrari or Sachin for accepting it and asking for it in the first place.
Under section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962, the Centre has the power to grant duty exemptions only in public interest. Yup, Sachin driving a Ferrari is in public interest. They want to see a superstar driving a supercar. They don’t want clean water…
The government for making a mess of the Arjuna Award and the Khel Ratna award or the players who go public on television claiming they deserve it more than the next person.
… many many more …
But I thing I am sure off. I am not ashamed to be here, I am only ashamed of the people who run it and the way they run it.

Waiving off tax on such financial well-off guys like Sachin is really a shame & a mockery of out financial system which can still be made flexible to suit the needs of some elite people.
The basic idea of waiving a tax on somebody rich like sachin stinks of foul play against the regular tax-payers. The tax so evaded is a money that the Sachin owes to the public of India that would have probably contributed towards development of our country rather than filling individual pockets.
