Nostalgia

I am not sure if its me alone but I love old movies of a particular genre. The ones with Dharmender, Mehmood and the likes. Especially with the hero playing a cop or a CBI officer out to get baddies. And with heroine involved with the villains in some way or the other, he starts flirting with the heroines and end up falling in love. Then there are the involvement of lost mothers and fathers. Pran as villain suits his role as the mischievous double crossing agent. And in the end, they all end up in an old storage cell with lots of drums and more baddies with guns. There are action scenes with people falling over each other and on a pile of drums. Then there are hanging ropes, which are used by the supporting case of actors to knock of the extras that are out to get the heroine away from the scene. And it all ends up with police coming in just after everything is settled and hero has taken the control over the situation.

I can watch one of these gems over any of the current genre of crap Bollywood is churning out.

i totally agree, this days bollywood films are so predictable crap

I couldn't agree with your post more Susubh. Old classics are the best. I also remember them fondly.

ooh... dharam papajee in a ps2 game... sounds yummy. but indian gaming industry would take a decade to come to anywhere near decent levels.

Do u think there is a market for a PS2 game based on this 'masala' concept? you could also try to work in some dramatic moments (rich girl's dad - eg. pran, getting to know about poor boy and frowning on the relationship), mandatory diversions (running around trees), and dialogues such "kameeney - mein tera khoon pee jaaonga" :)
